COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE 14TH SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL MAGIC FESTIVAL AND COMPETITION 2025

1、比赛规则及要求

魔术爱好者或魔术从业人员，不论国家和地区，均可报名参赛。

组委会将根据报名材料最终选定不超过15名选手(节目)参加比赛，参赛选手的性别年龄不限，组合表演人数3人以下(含3人)。

如违反以下规则将取消参赛资格：

(1) 参赛节目时间少于5分钟，或超过10分钟；

(2) 参赛者在比赛时因明显失手要求中止表演，作主动放弃参赛资格处理；

l 参赛者必须做好赛前的准备工作，如因准备不当引起失误，由参赛者自己负责。由于音响、灯光、舞美人员操作失误，导致比赛不能正常进行，经评委会核实后可重新表演。

l 所有入选新人赛的选手必须参与魔术周的闭幕式。

l 组委会根据实际需要，为部分优秀选手安排下社区公益演出，选手需积极配合，参与此类活动作为对魔术艺术推广，不另计报酬。

2、奖项设置

第一名 1名 奖金2000美元/名

第二名 2名 奖金1000美元/名

第三名 3名 奖金500美元/名

3、报名程序

l 报名者需填写报名表，申报参赛节目名称及节目时间长度。

l 报名者需提供参赛节目的完整视频资料，及舞美灯光、音响要求和道具的体积、重量，参赛节目一经组委会确认，不得更改。如确需更改，须重新申报。

l 报名者需提供高清晰度的照片2张，以及身份证（或军官证、台胞证、回乡证、护照等）扫描件。

l 以上报名材料最迟须于2025年5月31日前，以电子邮件或实物快递形式寄达中国上海国际魔术节组委会办公室。

l 组委会将根据递交的报名材料和表演视频内容选定参赛节目，其结果将于2025年6月30日前通知报名者，并发送电子版参赛确认函。

l 若发现正式参赛节目与组委会选定的节目内容不符合，将取消其参赛资格。报名材料、照片等概不退回。

4、出场顺序安排规定

参赛者的出场顺序及走台、对光等事宜由组委会统一安排。比赛顺序将在选手报到时告知，参赛者必须服从安排。

5、舞台

舞台上不得使用明火或爆炸物，禁止裸体表演。所有参赛节目必须符合国务院《营业性演出管理条例》和文化部《营业性演岀管理条例实施细则》相关规定。

舞台技术资料另附。

6、服装、道具

参赛者自带服装、化妆品和道具等。

7、音乐

参赛者须自带表演伴奏音乐，音乐命名中应注明参赛者姓名、节目名称以及节目时长，可事先以邮件形式寄到组委会办公室，或在报到时交于组委会办公室。音乐存放介质可以是USB 。参赛者另自带一份音乐作备用。

8、评比

评委会由组委会邀请的中外专家组成，评分内容包括：

A、艺术 B、技巧 C、创新 D、效果

评委规则另附。

评委会对参赛选手的评分决定将是最终的，无可争议的。

9、费用

每个参赛节目报名费为人民币1080元，组委会将承担参赛选手（组合表演3人以下）在魔术周比赛期间的食宿费用，参赛选手旅费及道具运输费自理。

10、权益及版权声明

比赛期间组委会将安排参赛者参加采访、拍照等宣传活动，进行现场录像、实况转播等电视摄制，不支付任何报酬。组委会确保参赛者的有关权益，并特此声明：

l 上述照片、录像等资料仅用于宣传活动，包括但不限于宣传册、海报、网站、社交媒体等渠道。

l 电视资料仅供主办单位电视或网络媒体机构播出，不得向其他电视或其他机构出售、交换或授权使用。

l 比赛视频的版权归属：现场比赛视频，在双方协商达成一致后，其版权归2025第十四届上海国际魔术节组委会所有。

11、保险

参赛者自理保险事宜，如在旅途或参赛期间发生任何受伤、事故及物品遗失等现象，由参赛者自行承担责任。

1. Rules and Requirements

l Open to magic enthusiasts or professionals of any nationality, age, or gender.

l The Committee will select up to 15 contestants (or performances) based on submitted materials. Group performances shall not exceed 3 members.

l Disqualification Conditions:

a) Performance duration is less than 5 minutes or exceeds 10 minutes.

b) Contestant requests to stop the performance due to obvious misses during the competition.

l Contestants must be well-prepared for their performances. If mistakes occur due to poor preparation, the contestant is responsible. Technical failures caused by sound, lighting, or stage management may permit a re-performance, subject to jury verification.

l All selected contestants must attend the Closing Ceremony of the Magic Festival.

l Based on actual needs, the Committee may arrange public community performances for some outstanding contestants, who are required to cooperate and participate in such activities as the promotion of the art of magic, without additional compensation.

2. Awards

First Prize: 1 winner, USD 2000

Second Prize: 2 winners, USD 1000 each

Third Prize: 3 winners, USD 500 each

3. Registration Procedures

l Applicants are required to complete the registration form, specify the name and length of the performance.

l Applicants are required to provide a full performance video, stage/lighting/sound requirements, and details on prop dimensions and weight. Once the performance has been confirmed by the Committee, no changes are allowed. If a change is necessary, a new application must be submitted.

l Applicants are required to provide 2 high-quality photos and 1 scanned ID (e.g., ID Card, Passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, etc. ).

l Deadline: All materials must be submitted via email or post to the Committee office by May 31, 2025.

l Selected contestants will be notified by June 30, 2025, and receive an electronic confirmation letter.

l If the actual performance does not match the submitted content, the contestant will be disqualified. Submitted materials will not be returned.

4. Performance Order

The order of performances and rehearsals will be arranged by the Committee. The order of competition will be informed upon registration, contestants must follow these arrangements.

5. Stage Regulations

l Open flames, explosives, and nudity are prohibited.

l All performances must comply with the State Council's Regulations on Administration of Commercial Performances, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Regulations on Administration of Commercial Performances.

l Additional technical specifications will be provided separately.

6. Costumes and Props

Contestants are required to bring their own costumes, makeup, and props.

7. Music

Contestants are required to bring their own performance music, which should be clearly labeled with the contestant's name, performance title, and duration. Music can be sent in advance by email or submitted to the Committee office at the time of registration. The music can be stored on a USB , and a backup copy is required.

8. Judging

The jury will consist of invited domestic and international experts.

The judging criteria include:

A. Artistic Impression | B. Technical Skill | C. Innovation | D. Impact

Judging rules will be provided separately. The jury's decisions on the scores are final and indisputable.

9. Fees

Registration Fee: RMB 1,080 per act

The Committee will cover accommodation and meals during the competition. Contestants are responsible for their own travel expenses and prop transportation costs.

10. Rights and Copyright

During the competition, the Committee will arrange for interviews, photos, and other promotional activities(e.g. live video, live broadcast, etc.) without compensation.

The Committee ensures the relevant rights and interests of the contestants, and hereby declares:

l The photos and videos will only be used for promotional activities, including brochures, posters, websites, social media channels, etc.

l Television footage will be used only by the host organization's media and will not be sold, exchanged, or licensed to other entities.

l The copyright ownership of the competition video: after mutual consultation and reaching an agreement by both parties, the copyright shall belong to the Organizing Committee of the 14th Shanghai International Magic Festival in 2025.

11. Insurance

Contestants are responsible for arranging their own insurance. The Committee will not be liable for any injuries, accidents, or loss of items during travel or the event.
