COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE 15TH SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL MAGIC FESTIVAL AND COMPETITION 2026

一、宗旨

上海国际魔术周暨国际魔术大赛是面向世界的一项国际性文化交流活动。其宗旨是，展示各国优秀魔术、繁荣发展各国魔术、培养扶植魔术新秀、推动中外魔术交流，并通过多元化活动不断扩大魔术艺术的受众圈层。

自2024年起，上海国际魔术周从原来的两年一届变更为一年一届。2026年的第十五届上海国际魔术周国际魔术大赛以近景魔术作为本届魔术周比赛的重心，通过高水平的国际竞技与展演，搭建起中外近景魔术师深度对话与技艺切磋的平台，推动国内外近景魔术在表演理念、手法创新、叙事表达及观众互动等方面的发展与进步，与国际前沿水准进一步接轨，激发年轻一代魔术从业者的创作热情与专业追求，促进近景魔术新锐人才梯队的形成与成长，助力中国魔术从“引进来”到“走出去”的跨越式发展。

二、举办日期和地点

2026第十五届上海国际魔术周国际（近景）大赛将在 2026年10月27日至11月1日中国上海国际艺术节期间举办。

三、组织和机构

设立上海国际魔术周组委会，组委会另设办公室负责各项具体工作。国际（近景）大赛设评委会，由组委会邀请中外魔术界专家组成。

五、上海国际魔术周国际（近景）大赛

1. 比赛规则及要求

- 魔术爱好者或魔术从业人员，不论国家和地区，均可报名参赛。

- 组委会将根据报名材料最终选定 不超过20名选手（节目） 参加比赛，参赛选手的性别、年龄不限，组合表演人数 不超过3人（含3人）。

- 如违反以下规则将取消参赛资格：

(1) 参赛节目时间少于5分钟，或超过10分钟；

(2) 参赛者在比赛时因明显失手要求中止表演，作主动放弃参赛资格处理；

- 参赛者必须做好赛前的准备工作，如因准备不当引起失误，由参赛者自己负责。由于音响、灯光（如适用）或现场工作人员操作失误导致比赛不能正常进行，经评委会核实后可重新表演。

- 所有获奖选手必须参与魔术周的闭幕式。

- 组委会根据实际需要，为部分优秀选手安排下社区公益演出，选手需积极配合，此类活动作为对魔术艺术的推广，不另计报酬。

2. 奖项设置

- 第一名：1名，奖金 2000美元/名

- 第二名：2名，奖金 1000美元/名

- 第三名：3名，奖金 500美元/名

- 特别奖（如最佳互动奖、最佳手法奖）：若干，颁发证书及纪念品

3. 报名程序

- 报名者需填写报名表，申报参赛节目名称及节目时间长度。

- 报名者需提供参赛节目的完整近景魔术表演视频，以及表演所用道具说明、特殊桌椅需求等。参赛节目一经组委会确认，不得更改。如确需更改，须重新申报。

- 报名者需提供高清晰度照片2张（一张报名证件照，一张节目表演照，用于节目册宣传），以及身份证（或军官证、台胞证、回乡证、护照等）扫描件。

- 以上报名材料最迟须于 2026年6月30日 前，以电子邮件或实物快递形式寄达中国上海国际魔术周组委会办公室。

- 组委会将根据递交的报名材料和表演视频选定参赛节目，结果将于 2026年7月30日 前通知报名者，并发送电子版参赛确认函。

- 若发现正式参赛节目与组委会选定的节目内容不符合，将取消其参赛资格。报名材料、照片等概不退回。

4. 出场顺序安排规定

参赛者的出场顺序及彩排、对光、试音等事宜由组委会统一安排。比赛顺序将在选手报到时告知，参赛者必须服从安排。

5. 表演场地与规范

- 不得使用明火、爆炸物、以及任何可能危及观众或选手安全的物品。禁止裸体或具有明显性暗示的表演。

- 所有参赛节目必须符合国务院《营业性演出管理条例》和文化部《营业性演出管理条例实施细则》相关规定。

- 具体场地技术资料另附。

6. 服装、道具

参赛者自带服装、化妆品和道具等。道具不得包含任何违反中国法律法规的物品。

7. 音乐与音效

参赛者可自带表演背景音乐或音效，音乐文件命名中应注明参赛者姓名、节目名称及时长，可事先以邮件形式发送至组委会办公室，或在报到时交于组委会办公室。存放介质为USB闪存盘。参赛者另自带一份备份。

8. 评比

评委会由组委会邀请的中外魔术专家组成，评分维度包括：

- A. 艺术性（表演、台词、节奏、观众互动）

- B. 技巧性（手法难度、流畅度、准确度）

- C. 创新性（原创效果、新颖编排、科技运用）

- D. 整体效果（观众反应、氛围营造、独特记忆点）

评委细则另附。评委会对参赛选手的评分决定为最终决定，无可争议。

9. 费用

每个参赛节目报名费为 人民币1080元。组委会将承担参赛选手在魔术周比赛期间的食宿费用（标准间或同级，含比赛日三餐）。参赛选手往返旅费及道具运输费自理。

10. 权益及版权声明

比赛期间组委会将安排参赛者参加采访、拍照等宣传活动，进行现场录像、实况转播、网络直播等摄制，不支付任何报酬。组委会确保参赛者的有关权益，并特此声明：

- 上述照片、录像等资料仅用于宣传活动，包括但不限于宣传册、海报、网站、社交媒体等渠道。

- 电视资料仅供主办单位电视或网络媒体机构播出，不得向其他电视或其他机构出售、交换或授权使用。

- 比赛视频的版权归属： 现场比赛视频，在双方协商达成一致后，其版权归2026第十五届上海国际魔术周组委会所有。

11. 保险

参赛者自理保险事宜。如在旅途或参赛期间发生任何受伤、事故及物品遗失等现象，由参赛者自行承担责任。

六、嘉宾展演

组委会邀请世界著名近景魔术师及部分舞台魔术师在国际魔术周期间参加《国际精品近景魔术展演》《国际精品舞台魔术展演》及中国上海国际艺术节“艺术天空”系列公益演出。

七、学术研讨

魔术周期间将举办魔术系列讲座、近景魔术专题研讨会、大师工作坊等交流活动。

八、道具展示

魔术周期间举行魔术道具展示活动，重点展示近景魔术道具及最新研发成果。

九、主办承办变动通知

如涉及主办、承办单位的变动，将在每次大会举行前由组委会另行公布。

十、文本解释权

如对本章程文字有不同理解时，以本章程中文文本为准。本章程解释权属 2026第十五届上海国际魔术周组委会。

International Magic Competition

Rules and Regulations

I. Purpose

The Shanghai International Magic Festival and its International Magic Competition serve as a global platform for cultural exchange. The Competition aims to showcase outstanding magic from around the world, promote the development of the art, support emerging talent, and foster international exchange.

Since 2024, the Festival has been changed from a biennial event to an annual one. Centering on close-up magic, the International Magic Competition of the 15th Shanghai International Magic Festival in 2026 sets high-standard international competitions and exhibitions as the carrier, building a platform for in-depth dialogue and skill exchange between Chinese and foreign close-up magicians. It promotes the development and progress of domestic and foreign close-up magic in terms of performance philosophy, technique innovation, narrative expression and audience interaction, and further aligns the development of Chinese magic with international cutting-edge standards. Meanwhile, it stimulates the creative enthusiasm and professional pursuit of young magicians, facilitates the formation and growth of the emerging talent echelon for close-up magic, and boosts the development of Chinese magic from "introducing global excellence" to "stepping onto the world stage".

II. Date and Venue

The International Magic Competition (Close-up) of the 15th Shanghai International Magic Festival will be held in Shanghai, China, from October 27 to November 1, 2026, during the China Shanghai International Arts Festival.

III. Organization

The Shanghai International Magic festival Organizing Committee will be established, with an office responsible for the implementation of all related affairs. The International Magic Competition (Close-up) will be judged by a Jury composed of renowned Chinese and international magic experts invited by the Organizing Committee.

V. International Magic Competition (Close-up)

1. Rules and Requirements

- The Competition is open to magic enthusiasts and professional magicians from all countries and regions.

- A maximum of 20 contestants (acts) will be selected by the Organizing Committee based on submitted materials. There are no restrictions on gender or age. Each act may include up to three performers.

- Contestants will be disqualified under the following circumstances:

1) Performance duration is less than 5 minutes or exceeds 10 minutes;

2) The participant voluntarily terminates the performance due to a significant error.

- Contestants are responsible for adequate preparation. Any mistakes caused by insufficient preparation shall be borne by the participant. In cases where performance disruption is caused by technical issues (e.g., sound, lighting, or staff error), and verified by the Jury, a re-performance may be permitted.

- All prize winners are required to attend the Festival Closing Ceremony.

- The Organizing Committee may arrange community outreach performances for selected outstanding contestants. As these are public welfare activities aimed at promoting magic, no additional remuneration will be provided.

2. Awards

- First Prize: 1 winner, USD 2,000

- Second Prize: 2 winners, USD 1,000 each

- Third Prize: 3 winners, USD 500 each

- Special Awards (e.g., Best Interaction, Best Technique): certificates and souvenirs

3. Application Procedure

- Applicants must complete the official application form.

- Applicants must submit a full video recording of the close-up magic act, along with a description of props and any special requirements (e.g., tables, chairs). Once approved, the act may not be changed unless re-submitted for approval.

- Applicants must provide two high-resolution photos (one ID photo and one performance photo for the program booklet promotion )and a copy of a valid identification document (ID card, passport, etc.).

- All application materials must be submitted by June 30, 2026, via email or postal delivery to the Organizing Committee Office.

- Selected contestants will be notified by July 30, 2026, and will receive an official confirmation letter.

- Any discrepancy between the submitted act and the approved act will result in disqualification. Submitted materials will not be returned.

4. Running Order

The running order of performances, as well as rehearsal schedules (stage rehearsal, lighting, and sound checks), will be arranged by the Organizing Committee. Contestants must comply with all arrangements.

5. Performance Regulations

- The use of open flames, explosives, or any hazardous materials is strictly prohibited. Nudity or performances with explicit sexual implications are not permitted.

- All performances must comply with relevant Chinese laws and regulations governing commercial performances.

- Detailed technical specifications of the venue will be provided separately.

6. Costumes and Props

Contestants must provide their own costumes, makeup, and props. All props must comply with Chinese laws and regulations.

7. Music and Sound

Contestants may provide their own background music or sound effects. Files should be clearly labeled with the participant’s name, act title, and duration. Music may be submitted in advance via email or provided upon arrival on a USB drive. A backup copy is required.

8. Judging Criteria

The Jury will evaluate performances based on:

- Artistry (performance, presentation, rhythm, audience interaction)

- Technique (difficulty, fluency, precision)

- Innovation (originality, creativity, use of technology)

- Effect (audience response, atmosphere, memorability)

The Jury’s decision is final and not subject to appeal.

9. Fees and Expenses

Application fee: RMB 1,080 per act

The Organizing Committee will cover accommodation(standard twin room or equivalent) and meals (three meals on the day of Competition) during the Competition period for selected contestants.

Travel expenses and transportation of props shall be borne by the contestants.

10. Rights and Copyright

During the Competition, contestants may be required to attend promotional activities such as interviews and photo shoots, and conduct on-site filming, live broadcasts, and online live streaming, without additional payment. The Organizing Committee guarantees the relevant rights and interests of the contestants and hereby declares:

- Photos and recordings will be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to brochures, posters, websites, and social media.

- Broadcast materials are for use by authorized media partners only and may not be sold, transferred, or licensed to third parties.

- Copyright of the on-site competition videos shall belong to the Organizing Committee upon mutual agreement.

11. Insurance

Contestants are responsible for their own insurance. The Organizing Committee shall not be liable for any injury, accident, or loss incurred during travel or participation.

VI. Guest Performance

The Committee will invite world-renowned magicians to perform in the “ International Close-up Magic Gala Show, ” “ International Stage Magic Gala Show, ” and the China Shanghai International Arts Festival’s “Art Space” public outreach series.

VII. Academic Programs

Lectures, seminars, and masterclasses on magic will be held during the Festival to promote professional exchange.

VIII. Magic Props Exhibition

A magic props exhibition will be held, featuring close-up magic equipment and the latest innovations in the field.

IX. Changes to Organizers

Any changes to the organizers or co-organizers will be officially announced prior to each edition of the Festival by the Organizing Committee.

X. Interpretation

In case of any discrepancy in interpretation, the Chinese version of these Rules and Regulations shall prevail. The Organizing Committee of the 15th Shanghai International Magic Festival reserves the right of final interpretation.
